Some of our most frequently asked questions...
We know it can sometimes be difficult to understand what training would best suit your need and requirements -
see the below to hopefully answer some of your questions
1. What qualifications do I need prior to training?
You do not need any prerequisites or qualifications to attend our one day or three-day advanced training courses, with all educational content and demonstrations being designed to benefit people from a range of different backgrounds: including those with no experience whatsoever.
2. How do I know what training course I should attend?
Due to the minimal regulations of laser & IPL in the UK, the first action we recommend to all laser & IPL practitioners prior to treating any client: gain adequate insurance. To make this possible, you will simply need to attend our Core of Knowledge laser training course. This is a one day course that looks at the key fundamentals of laser and light and discusses basic safety procedures and best practice. After the course, you will be presented with the certificate that insurance providers will require. If however, you do not have a medical or beauty qualification, you may find it easier to gain insurance if you undertake a Level 4 qualification.
3. What course does Lynton recommend?
Our most popular course is the Advanced Skin & Laser Applications’ course. This three-day workshop incorporates the Core of Knowledge on day one and then follows on to cover almost every aspect of laser & IPL treatments and technologies. This course is perfect for kick-starting your career in laser and IPL.
4. Will I receive a qualification or certificate?
After completing one of our University of Manchester training courses, you will receive a certificate issued by this Institute of Higher Education, outlining the areas you have covered and practised in the sessions. For a formal qualification, you will need to complete one of our Level 4 courses in Laser & Light Treatments for Hair Removal & Skin Rejuvenation.
